So, the peace corps is pretty boring. deathly boring. when you are at home, you can hang out with your family, or just do things. anything. ahhhhh. the boredom can easily kill you. so the secret is to find something interesting to do that you truly enjoy (hobbies are essential...) so you don't go insane, that does not include watching TV in Zulu with your family. i read almost anything i can get my hands on...and...anyways, i try to keep busy. here are some (semi hilarious) examples. This is a zebra i made for nothabo, my 6 year old host sister, on saturday, when i was trying out the new sewing machines for our project. a little rough around the edges... but i like him.

this is my huge project that took me forever...i am going to change it into a wall hanging i think. this is my new favorite. embroidery scenes are very popular in zulu art, so that is my next project i think...

if anyone wants to contribute and send me embroidery thread (example: dmc brand), i think we might be best friends!

You MADE that?!?! Therese Mae Claxton, that is unbelievable.
Also, how long does it take you to get stuff usually? (in the mail)

I looked at those shirt pictures again, and they are seriously amazing. I think you need to start another embroidery project already.
That shirt looks like it was made in a factory by computers.
