Hello again from my glorious village in freezing cold KZN (not really, about 20 degrees at night--but without heat or insulation it gets pretty cold).
I last left you 3 weeks ago when I was to depart for training and vacation. now i'm back.
training was good. i got some good ideas of how to go about starting projects at my site.
then i went on vacation to kruger national park. it was amazing. i'm going to send some pictures back to the us to be posted on saturday. i have some really nice ones, and i should, since i saw 80 elephants in one day (!!!) along with 8 rhinos, and about 50 giraffe and a lion with her cubs. hooray! i had a great time. it was really fun, however, i think that my wildlife excursions are done for the meantime. it's funny because thats what a lot of people think of africa. however, i had to actually go to a national park (the biggest in sa) to see these glorious animals. i'm excited to get back to current or real africa and get started with work at my organization and hang out with my family and learn zulu!
my next trip out of here won't be for 2-3 months, so i am in it for the long haul. it's daunting but kind of exciting. i think i can do this. sometimes, anyways. i am just happy to be at a new and wonderful organization.
love,
t
